People with different languages, customs, religions and physical attributes will visit Japan from all over
the world when 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games are held.
In view of the year 2020, TRON Project has beendeveloping“ Omotenashi (Hospitality) Cloud Platform” OPaaS.io as a compilation of its research and development efforts over the years. For example, it can provide route navigation according to physical attributes, such as routes without steps for wheelchair users and routes with special tactile paving blocks for visually-challenged people.
In TEPS 29th, Mr. Shusaku Sugiuchi, a bronze medalist in the Athens Paralympic Games, and Mr. Masamitsu Tomikawa, the leader for the Japanese Paralympic triathlon team will speak from the viewpoint of users. The panel session will discuss what is required and what needs to be realized for better“ Omotenashi” in 2020.
