Software School of Fudan University, Shanghai, proceeds with many research and development project under the principal, Professor Binyu Zang. Among the research topics is e-Commerce and the interest in e-Commerce in China is very strong.
On July 17th, 2006, a new "Fudan University uID/RFID Open Laboratory" was inaugurated. The laboratory aims at the joint promotion of technology developed at UNL in China. At the laboratory, the following display is open to public. Basic technology corner demonstrates T-Engine, T-Kernel, and uID architecture. Application demonstration corner shows Ubiquitous Sight Seeing System, and Smart House application.
Since its inception, the researchers have proceeded with the application development using uID and RFID technology and proposals for sightseeing system during Shanghai Expo in 2010, and application to retail industry have been proposed and under review.
