The TRON Engineer Certification Examination Trial

The TRON Engineer Certification Examination is held by T-Engine Forum. It evaluates the skill of the engineers to utilize embedded real-time OS such as T-Kernel and ITRON-specification OS in order to develop embedded real-time system software.

■The TRON Engineer Certification Examination Trial (for free)

TRONSHOW2009 will conduct a free trial exam in order to make more people understand this TRON Engineer Certification Examination.
Today, people in charge of human resources in companies, and managers of temporary staffing firms as well as engineers are interested in The TRON Engineer Certification Examination. If you are interested in this examination, please feel free to take trial Exam of TRON Engineer and feel its validity for yourself.

■Outline of Examination

The TRON Engineer Certification Examination is not designed to give a simple pass or fail result, but to rate the technical skill with a score, with the maximum 100. As the capability and knowledge of the engineer enhances, he or she can take the test repeatedly.
The score is sub-totaled in each area, and this sub-total is also given to check the balance of the knowledge and to increase the skill effectively.

■Scope of Test

The scope of trial exam will be the basic field of embedded system based on TRON architecture and real-time systems.
The main area requires the basic knowledge of the following topics: general embedded real-time systems, development method of embedded software, and hardware required for embedded device development, real-time OS such as T-Kernel, μT-Kernel and ITRON-specification OS, middleware such as T-Kernel Standard Extension and TCP/IP, and multi-core processors that attract attention lately. In addition to the main area, the test questions also cover licenses that are important knowledge of the engineers today.

■Test method

The entire test time is 90 minutes. The maximum score will be 100. The questions are divided into two sections: the first section to examine the basic knowledge of embedded real-time systems, and the second section to examine the knowledge on development of embedded real-time system software.
There are 20 questions in the first section, and 3 points are allocated to each question, totaling 60 points. The questions examine the knowledge using multiple-choice questions. It takes 2-3 minutes to answer a question, and it is assumed that it will take about 60 minutes to complete them.
There are 5 questions in the second section, and each question includes multiple queries. 8 points are allocated to each question, totaling 40 points. Each question requires 5-6 minutes to answer and it is assumed that it will take about 30 minute to complete them. The questions focus on the knowledge regarding the development of software, e.g. knowledge of basic programming, logic, calculation, reasoning, observation and application skill.
