This booth exhibits technology that permits Information Appliances to be controlled via networks using a Ubiquitous Communicator and uID (ubiquitous ID).
At NTT Cyber Solutions Laboratories, part of NTT Cyber Communications Laboratory Group, various Information Appliances are being connected to networks in preparation for the era of the full-fledged spread of a broadband society and the ubiquitous network society. The research and development activities of NTT Cyber Solutions Laboratories have the aim of realizing services hitherto impossible; a key approach is the synergistic integration of individual devices. NTT Cyber Solutions Laboratories is currently researching and developing protocols and methods for creating middleware which allows various information instruments to be as easily handled as the traditional remote controllers of the television and the air conditioner. “Conference@ID”, one fruit of our research, is shown at this TRONSHOW. It is a system that can allow the business equipment in the office to be SIMPLY and SMOOTHLY used; the key technologies are the Ubiquitous Communicator and uID, which was shown in TRONSHOW2007. A videoconferencing system equipped with this technology was exhibited at TRONSHOW2008.
