Atsushi Hasegawa graduated University of Electro Communication in 1979.
He started his carrier in Hitachi as memory board designer for Minicomputer. Three years later, he shifted to design microprocessors. He designed TRONCHIP and SH series MPUs and MCUs. From 2001 to 2004, he was in CPU core licensing company SuperH as VP of Engineering. Since 2005, he has been in Renesas and developed multi-core SoC, low end MCU RX, and SoC Platform EXREAL.
Current his job in Renesas is technology supervisor at corporate level.
