Renesas Technology is actively working on a constructive part in the TRON Project and developing the products which covered various microcomputers by arranging the real-time OS environments which supported from μT-Kernel to MP T-Kernel including ITRON.
Figure 1 shows the Renesas' ITRON roadmap and Figure 2 shows T-engine roadmap of various Renesas' microcomputers.
Moreover, for offering to the Renesas' microcomputer users, we are researching and developing to adapt and optimize the T-Kernel for a wide array of Renesas microcomputers.
As one of the examples of adaptations, the uT-Kernel-compliant M16C/62P uT-Kernel was developed, and its reference source code is available on the SH/M32 T-Engine website (http://www.superh-tkernel.org/).
The SH/M32R T-Engine website is managed by SH/M32R T-Engine users. And for operating the T-Kernel conveniently, a lot of information and available software which runs on the SH/M32 are being offered on this site.The software is available for download including a GNU compiler, T-Monitor source code, and various device driver source codes.




【Overview of the Renesas booth】


◎ Seminar corner

The Renesas booth at TRONSHOW 2008 will offer free hands-on seminars using “M16C/62P μT-Kernel”. At the seminar, participants will make a Micon car using a board mounted with the M16C/62P.
It is strongly recommended for anyone developing programs with the μT-Kernel, anyone curious about using TRON OS and anyone interested in becoming an embedding engineer in the future. Taking an introductory class on real-time OS will provide you with knowledge on everything from the basics to applications.
In addition, the introduction seminar of ITRON product "HI7200/MP" for SH2A-DUAL is held.
