Introduction of exhibitions at TRONSHOW 2008

Exhibitor booths
Featuring a large number of exhibitors, TRONSHOW2008 consists of two exhibitions: The Next-Generation Real-Time Systems Technologies Exhibition and the International Symposium on Ubiquitous Computing. The Next-Generation Real-Time Systems Technologies Exhibition features exhibits including the latest embedded-device development environments and middleware, as well as sample products applying these technologies. The International Symposium on Ubiquitous Computing features exhibits including ubiquitous-technology tags and readers, solutions, and sample applications.

T-Engine Showcase
The T-Engine Forum, having attracted a great deal of attention and developed a strong presence among embedded systems (themselves an increasing focus of industry around the world), has now released roadmaps of the latest technologies, such as μT-Kernel, T-Kernel, and MP T-Kernel. Further, in addition to introductions to examples of practical implementation, the venue features GUI development environments and other solutions as well as introductions to TRON engineer certification examinations and education.
In particular, the MP T-Kernel booth features a demonstration of MP T-Kernel, which is compatible with both asynchronous and synchronous multiprocessor systems (AMP and SMP) using a wide range of multiprocessor and multicore technologies.
The TRON engineer certification exam booth provides sessions in a reproduction of a classroom and a mock version of this exam, which is planned to be offered beginning in the next fiscal year.
This booth is a must-see for enterprise engineers who would like to know more about future embedded-system development, as well as persons considering the use of T-Engine/T-Kernel in embedded systems.

Ubiquitous Showcase
The Ubiquitous Showcase provides an introduction to the essence of the future of ubiquitous computing currently promoted by the T-Engine Forum and the Ubiquitous ID Center. This year’s Showcase includes exhibits illustrating the development of a more detailed understanding of ubiquitous technologies, from the fundamentals of ubiquitous ID technologies through applications, methods of use, and activities such as linkage with outside consortiums and standardization organizations. In addition to practical introductions to solutions in areas such as supply chains using ultra-wideband (UWB) technologies, the ubiquitous spatial information infrastructure, and applications in the construction industry, it also provides an overview to the free mobility assistance experiments underway across Japan.
